ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS

These are the architecture projects I've helped design or led in my career; they include residential, healthcare, institutional and commercial typologies. These projects were worked on in different firms and have quite a fair bit of variation in scale as well.

Learning Curves school

I worked on this project at Sanjay Puri Architects as part of the architectural design team. The project received a World Architecture Award in the 33rd Cycle.

The school was designed around a central courtyard, with playful learning and circulation spaces overlooking this shared core. Responding to Raipur's hot climate, where temperatures typically range from approximately 23°C to 45°C, the courtyard-based planning and shaded transitional spaces help create a more comfortable learning environment while encouraging visual connections and interaction throughout the school.

Al Khaled hussein cancer hospital

I worked on the architectural design team for Al Khaled Cancer Hospital at Khatib & Alami, a leading multidisciplinary firm in the Gulf region. The project gave me valuable insight into how healthcare planning directly influences patient experience, safety, and clinical operations.
Working on a specialised cancer hospital under a leading healthcare specialist, I also learned about specialised building systems, including the different ventilation and air-change requirements for operating theatres and other clinical spaces; how elements in spaces could aid patient recovery; and the need for spaces to also meet healthcare standards.

Little India- Oman

I worked on the Little India project in Oman at Sanjay Puri Architects, located in the SEZ and Free Trade Zone adjoining the Port of Duqm.
This 60 Hectare plot was envisioned to be a mixed-use township. My role was to design Zone B of this Project proposal, along with two other team members, and the challenge was to accommodate the number of units without blocking sea views. My team members and I studied different massing strategies and used iterative planning and calculations to stagger building heights from tallest to lowest across the site.
This approach permitted us to distribute units efficiently, maintain view corridors, and ensure balanced light, ventilation, and spatial quality across all buildings.

Media Centre

This project is a media centre designed to house shooting studios, office spaces, production and post-edit offices, and more. The conceptual idea behind this was that work should be play, so a lot of spaces were designed for leisure: gathering spaces with curved steps overlooking green patches on different floors, a Swimming pool, an auditorium to view the films and a central courtyard with a jogging track and cafés lining the central courtyard.

The modelling was done in Revit, and the solar study informed the courtyard size; in the hot, humid climate, the building was designed to be inward-looking and provide shade.

residential Midrise

This mid-rise development was conceptualised to accommodate approximately 250 residential units, including studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom homes. I calculated the FSI and designed the building layout to meet the required density while maintaining the 25% Recreational Ground requirement, adequate open space, natural light, and privacy. Although the site itself is flat, the buildings were carefully positioned and angled to preserve sightlines towards the nearby hills and avoid obstructing views from adjoining blocks. Two landscaped recreational grounds create shared community spaces, while peripheral vehicular circulation keeps the centre of the development greener and pedestrian-friendly.
